ROSTER: Finance Associate, Accounts Section, Finance Branch, Division for Management Services
The Finance Branch is creating a roster of Finance Associates.
The Accounts Section currently consists of four teams: Global Monitoring and Advisory Team (GMAT); Revenue and Donor Reporting Team, Statutory Reporting Unit; and Payment Team. GMAT is responsible for providing monitoring and support services to Field Offices and Headquarters units in the areas of accounting and financial management. As part of these functions, GMAT oversees the accurate use, reconciliation and clean-up of balance sheet accounts, including the Operating Fund Accounts (OFA), and expense accounts; ensures financial data quality; supports the implementation of new financial management policies, processes and systems; and provides advisory services.
The incumbents will directly report to the Head of the GMAT team, under the overall supervision of the Chief, Accounts Section.
Finance Associate, G-7, Statutory Reporting Unit (SRU), Finance Branch, Division for Management Service
This Finance Associate position is located within the Statutory Reporting Unit (SRU) of the Finance Branch, Division for Management Services (DMS) and will report directly to the head of the SRU under the overall supervision of the Chief, Finance Branch. Under the overall supervision of the head of the SRU, the Finance Associate supports the continuous improvement for the operationalization of the IPSAS environment at UNFPA by monitoring the implementation of the Policy and Procedures on Management of Programme Supplies, supports the development of UNFPA’s inventory management systems as part of the ICTX project, contributes to accounts closure activities and preparation of the statutory financial reports, and supports initiatives to improve internal controls.
Digital Editor
The Digital Editor Consultant will be responsible for acquiring, conceptualizing, developing, writing and editing written and visual content for UNFPA digital platforms. The incumbent will be instrumental in the relaunch of the global website by rewriting out-of-date content and producing language for new pages. The Digital Editor Consultant will make recommendations for restructuring or redesigning the site to make it more user-friendly and advise the digital team on user interface and user experience matters from a readers’ perspective. The Digital Editor Consultant will also act as an interface and content producer for other UNFPA teams or projects.
