The consultant will support the Intergovernmental, Inter-agency Policy and Dialogue Branch (IIPDB) in the delivery of its mandate, and in the coordination and quality assurance of engagements related to intergovernmental meetings and events. The consultant will be integrated within the IIPDB team, and will support the duties of the Branch. IIPDB is part of the Programme and Strategy Division (PSD) in New York.

The Policy, Strategic Information and Planning Branch of the Policy and Strategy Division (PSD) in New York is responsible for managing the UNFPA policy and procedures manual, development of key programme policies and partner management. The consultant will be tasked with putting in place measures and systems to effectively manage the policy and procedures manual, clear agreements and develop training materials and programme guidance related to partner management.

Accounts Associate, G-7, Revenue Unit, Finance Branch, Division for Management Services

The Finance Associate supports the operationalization and continuous improvement of the UNFPA Policy and Procedures on Revenue Management. This includes (i) preparation of information for financial reports to external and governing bodies and, external parties, preparation of donor certified financial reports, and provision of accounting, monitoring and support services to FOs and HQ units. The Finance Associate coordinates closely its activities with the RMB on operational aspects of revenue management, including the submissions of certified reports.

ROSTER: Finance Associate, Accounts Section, Finance Branch, Division for Management Services

The Finance Branch is creating a roster of Finance Associates.

The Accounts Section currently consists of four teams: Global Monitoring and Advisory Team (GMAT); Revenue and Donor Reporting Team, Statutory Reporting Unit; and Payment Team. GMAT is responsible for providing monitoring and support services to Field Offices and Headquarters units in the areas of accounting and financial management. As part of these functions, GMAT oversees the accurate use, reconciliation and clean-up of balance sheet accounts, including the Operating Fund Accounts (OFA), and expense accounts; ensures financial data quality; supports the implementation of new financial management policies, processes and systems; and provides advisory services.

The incumbents will directly report to the Head of the GMAT team, under the overall supervision of the Chief, Accounts Section.
