The Regional Programme Coordinator post ensures the effective and coherent planning, implementation and monitoring of the Regional Programme, in line with the UNFPA Strategic Plan (2014 – 2017) and business model.
The Director is a member of the Executive Committee, provides overall strategic vision, direction and leadership in the Region, and serves as the senior adviser within the Fund on all matters related to the Region.
Through compelling advocacy and thought leadership, the Representative effectively positions UNFPA to be the visible centre of excellence engaging in innovation and culturally sensitive approaches to issues of population and development, sexual and reproductive health, youth development, and gender equity.
The International Operations Manager provides leadership and advice to the Country Office (CO) on all aspects of office management and operations.
The Administrative and Finance Assistant provides assistance in monitoring of financial management, as well as programme, travel, human resources and general administrative support as well as some data and research assistance for the two project coordinators.
S/He provides overall technical support for monitoring and evaluation across the full range of the work of the Regional Office. In addition, the Regional M&E Adviser provides Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) guidance to all work overseen by the Regional Office, including the technical assistance system.

S/he leads and motivates the UNFPA team in the development of innovative, relevant approaches for engagement on issues related to population and development, sexual and reproductive health and gender.
The Chief of Operations is primarily responsible for the formulation and delivery of the UNFPA Country programme, projecting the programme of the organization, promoting at the national level the goals of the programme and ensuring the integration of issues of population, sexual and reproductive health, and gender in the broader development agenda.
