Managing funds to deliver results for women and girls worldwide

Joint Programmes and Multi-Partner Trust Funds bring together UNFPA and other UN agencies to address complex development challenges, such as improving maternal and sexual and reproductive health, ending gender-based violence and empowering women and youth.

UNFPA plays a range of pivotal roles in administering these initiatives, including the key role of Administrative Agent, in addition to serving as a Convening Agent and an Implementing Partner*.

As the Administrative Agent, UNFPA manages pooled funds on behalf of UN partners and donors, ensuring transparent, efficient and accountable financial stewardship.

By choosing UNFPA as the Administrative Agent, partners and donors benefit from a proven track record in fund management, strong country and regional presence and sectoral leadership in sexual and reproductive health and rights. Together, we maximize resources and deliver transformative results aligned with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.
